Netbook Choice
Netbook, actually you could hear, or if you saw, decide that this is a laptop, just a small one. Actually, many stores throw them in one pile, but the netbook is not a laptop.
If the laptop, you can say, is a “stripped down” version of the computer, then the netbook, in turn, is a “stripped down” version of the laptop. But if laptops use full-sized parts (accessories), only upgraded specifically for the laptop, then the netbook already uses smaller parts (accessories), for example, the same processor. In general, a netbook is no different from a computer or laptop, there is also a processor, motherboard, RAM, etc. And how to replace parts in a laptop is almost not possible, so you should remember this before choosing.
The main focus of the netbook is working with office applications, as well as the Internet. Due to the small size of the screen, it is not very suitable for watching movies. Due to its targeted limitations, you should not expect that games will be played on it.
Netbooks are a smaller version of laptops, in fact this is the easiest way to understand that you have a laptop or netbook. For netbooks, screen sizes are 7 to 12 inches, for laptops from 12 to 19 (or maybe more). Also, due to the fact that there are no beeches smaller than their older brothers, they weigh less, a little more than 1 kg, which makes it somewhat more convenient to move with them.
So, let’s consider what you should be interested in: screen size and quality, keyboard, technical specifications, additional features, battery.
The size and quality of the screen is the most, it seems to me, the most important part, because you will constantly look at the screen, it is important that it suits you completely. Size is a matter of your choice, in the market you will come across netbooks with screens from 7 to 12 inches. As for quality, it is necessary to look, as they say, “in fact”. When choosing a netbook, you should pay a little time to this, or rather, you should look at how the screen shows static pictures and dynamics (movies, for example), if possible, you should look at the full screen fill in one color, for example, white and black, it is important to remember that black should be black, not gray, and white respectively white. It is also worth looking at how the screen shows when it is exposed to direct sunlight. Remember that no technology is a guarantee of image quality, and the very concept of quality is different for everyone. So it’s better to look and choose with your eyes than with your ears. It’s also worth saying that there are netbooks with a touch screen, it’s hard to recommend something, someone likes it and people use this functionality all the time, while someone doesn’t use it, but personally I think this is not a bad method of managing a netbook.
The keyboard is the worst place on any mobile device. Due to the reduction in size, the keyboard also has to be reduced, naturally, with each decrease, it becomes less convenient. Therefore, if you are not very concerned about the screen size, it is better to take a large one, since with a large screen the netbook itself is larger and, accordingly, the keyboard is also larger. Do not think that if the keyboard is not convenient, you can get used to it, although in part you will get used to it over time, but if it constantly annoys you, working on a netbook will turn into torment. It is worth thinking about it right away.
Technical specifications – firstly, in order to avoid a number of confusion with the technical side, and in order for the netbook to support all the latest technological trends, you should choose the newest netbook, information on the release date can always be found in the documents, do not forget that. But do not forget that slightly older versions will be cheaper. Basically, in the price lists you can see the name of the processor, the amount of RAM, and the amount of hard drive. Processors, at the moment, are Intel Atom and AMD Neo, they can also indicate their clock frequency and model. For example, Intel Atom N550, N550 is just the model. Naturally, the higher the ordinal number of the model, the faster the processor, and accordingly the entire netbook is faster, but also more expensive. Digits, for example, 1024 or 2048 is the amount of RAM, since netbooks are made relatively balanced, the more RAM the netbook has, the better. Figures, for example, 160,250,320, maybe others, this is the volume of the hard drive, in GB, again, the larger the volume, the more you can write information to your netbook. But it is worth remembering that the more this or that parameter, the more expensive the netbook.
Additional features are wireless communications, connectors, or some additional technological solutions. Wireless communication, as a rule, is BlueTooth (BT) and WiFi, in some models it works with 3G mobile networks, and WiMax may appear over time. BlueTooth is an old, but already massive, wireless technology, due to its low speeds and minimum operating distance, it is suitable only for transmission over short distances (1-5m).
